By Center for Individualized Medicine

We're excited! Registration is open for Individualizing Medicine 2013: From Promise to Practice. This year the conference focuses on how to implement genomics technologies in clinical care. Dates are September 29—October 2, and CME is available at many conference sessions.

Eric Green, M.D., Ph.D., head of the NIH’s National Human Genome Research Institute, will give the keynote presentation on September 29. The complete speaker lineup is available on the website’s Speakers Page.

As if Dr. Green weren’t exciting enough, Richard Besser, M.D., chief medical correspondent for ABC News and a former acting director of the Centers for Disease Control, will emcee the first half of the conference. Ceci Connolly, an award-winning healthcare journalist and managing director of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Health Research Institute will take over the job on Tuesday afternoon.

For all you clinicians and researchers: Case study and poster abstracts are being accepted through June 14. Check out the Visit the Abstracts Page for details on how to share your latest findings and stories at IM 2013.

CME is available for most conference sessions and a special pre-conference session Omics 101.
